MORE ABOUT COLORSTORE -- Scanners The Scan button launches the software that is specific to your scanner. Note: To use this option, you must have a scanner that is TWAIN compliant AND you should have chosen either the Normal or Full option during installation. To scan an image 1. Go to File>Select Source 2. Select Scan 3. The software that is specific to your scanner will be launched. After it is done scanning, press OK. The image should now be in your workspace. During installation, ColorStore will install a "BMPS" folder. This is where any image that was scanned while using this program will be stored. Each time an image is acquired, the program will assign a unique name to it. Periodically, you should go to the Windows Explorer, locate the "BMPS" folder within the ColorStore directory, and delete any unused files. Rename the files you would like to use again. To easily identify the files, go the View menu in the Windows Explorer and select details. This will list the files by the date each was created. If a scanned image was used in a ColorStore project, you should re-open the project and re-import the image using File>Import. This program does not keep a copy of imported images; rather, to save space, it remembers where the location of the image is. If you move the image without re-importing it, the program will not know where to find the image. It’s always a good idea to keep the image in the same directory as the actual project file. |
